Building stone deposit Glushkovichi

Located 0.5 km south of the village of GlushkovichiLelchitsky district of the Gomel region. The depth of occurrence is from 1.4 m to 21.8 m. The
mineral resources are crystalline rocks represented by migmatites of granitic and granodiorite composition, to a lesser extent, migmatites of diorite composition and amphibolites. Four zones are distinguished at the deposit: weathering crust with a thickness of 3.0 m to 23.4 m; a zone of weathered rocks with a thickness of 0.6 m to 20.9 m; a zone of weathered rocks with a thickness of 0.4 m to 10.1 m; a zone of unaltered rocks with a stripped thickness of up to 67.4 m.

Mineral reserves

Industrial reserves - 67.8 million m3 , preliminary estimated - 206.3 million m3. The increase in reserves is possible in the western direction and to the depth, both due to the transfer of estimated reserves to industrial categories, and through the increment of new areas.

Usage: crushed stone production

Note: the deposit has been developed since 1976 by the Glushkovichi crushed stone plant of the Gomelobldorstroy KPRSU in an open pit - a quarry with a drainage system. The maximum water inflow into the quarry is 2600 m3/hour or 62400 m3/day. The method of deposit development is excavator with preliminary loosening by explosion.
As of January 1, 2012, the balance reserves by industrial categories amounted to 65.7 million m3. Provision with mineral raw materials - more than 50 years
